Trieste
Trieste is one of the most charming Italian cities; the first Italian city for quality of life in 2005 and 2009. Its unique special context ranges from the rocky costs of the Adriatic to the wooded hills of the Kras (Carso). A unique mixture between traditions, religions, cultures and landscapes: Trieste will conquer you with its incomparable magic and with the fascination of times gone by.
Not only Trieste can offer culture and tradition, but also fun and worldly pleasure: three big shopping complexes, restaurants and pubs along the seafront to savour the local delicacy before the sunset, a bowling alley a few steps from the centre, shops with the most important brands, typical patisseries, huge events that often monopolize the most important squares. And we cannot forget about the close Slovenia, with its casinos, thermal baths, shopping centers and dream beaches.
FROM THE RESIDENCE..

From the largest European square overlooking the sea to the impressive size of San Giusto Castle, from the ancient charm of the Roman theatre to the very slender shape of “Della Vittoria” lighthouse, Trieste can touch the hearth of the most demanding tourist, thanks to its monuments and panoramic views that, together, form one of the most intriguing experiences in the rich panorama of the Italian wonders.

Miramare Park and Castle
Between the 10 most visited places in Italy, the park extends for 22 hectares of ground, characterized by grottoes, small lakes, memorabilia of the Great War and an exotic and variegated fauna.
“Della Vittoria” Lighthouse
From its 125 meters, this wonderful lighthouse allows to enjoy a breathtaking view on the whole Gulf of Trieste. Free entry and elevator climb.
San Giusto Castle
The ancient 15th Century fortress offers to its visitors an intriguing trail of museums into the massive bastions and a privileged observing point of the whole city.
Unity of Italy Square
The largest European square overlooking the sea, offers the access to some of the most important buildings of the city of historical and cultural interest, like the city hall or the renowned “Caffè degli Specchi”
The San Sabba Risiera (rice mill)
With its imposing austerity the Risiera (rice mill) is a painful permanent proof of the Second World War in Trieste. It is a national monument since 1965.
Opicina Tram (tramline)
This panoramic tramline connects Trieste to the small village of Opicina, by covering a height difference of 329 meters in only 5,2 Km ( the only one in the world). With its suggestive trial it offers wonderful views of the city.
Postumia Grottoes
The most extended grottoes of the Kras (Carso) and the most visited grottoes in Europe extend for more than 21 km. The tourist trial is about one hour a half, partly by train, and it offers a unique view of the wonders of the city.FROM THE RESIDENCE..
