Trieste

Trieste is one of the most charming Italian cities; the first Italian city for quality of life in 2005 and 2009. Its unique special context ranges from the rocky costs of the Adriatic to the wooded hills of the Kras (Carso). A unique mixture between traditions, religions, cultures and landscapes: Trieste will conquer you with its incomparable magic and with the fascination of times gone by.

Piazza Unità d'Italia

From the largest European square overlooking the sea to the impressive size of San Giusto Castle, from the ancient charm of the Roman theatre to the very slender shape of “Della Vittoria” lighthouse, Trieste can touch the hearth of the most demanding tourist, thanks to its monuments and panoramic views that, together, form one of the most intriguing experiences in the rich panorama of the Italian wonders.

We also cannot forget the unique encounter between cultures, religions and literary traditions (from Svevo to Joyce, with their unmistakable styles recognized internationally) that only a frontier city overlooking the sea can offer to its visitors. And after satisfying minds along the historical tours, there is nothing better than a relaxing walk along the shores or the wooded seafront of Barcola.

Not only Trieste can offer culture and tradition, but also fun and worldly pleasure: three big shopping complexes, restaurants and pubs along the seafront to savour the local delicacy before the sunset, a bowling alley a few steps from the centre, shops with the most important brands, typical patisseries, huge events that often monopolize the most important squares. And we cannot forget about the close Slovenia, with its casinos, thermal baths, shopping centers and dream beaches.
